The Red Horse Inn (also known as http://www.theredhorseinn.com) is not responsible for misunderstandings of our Policies that arise from the age or inconsistencies of a prospective guest's Web browser.
Reserving accommodations at The Red Horse Inn constitutes and creates a legally binding contract, whether you reserve orally, in writing or online. By accepting your reservation, we agree to hold the room, cottage or other facility for you on the date(s) requested, and to turn down other requests for the same accommodation on those date(s). By requesting the reservation, you agree to pay for the accommodation(s) and date(s) you have reserved. Therefore, date changes are considered cancellations, to which our cancellation policy applies.
Our cancellation policy permits a 50% rebate of the deposit if more than 30 days notice is given prior to the originally reserved day of arrival. No-shows and cancellations within the 30 day period forfeit the entire amount of the stay. Check-in is 4-6 pm (please let us know if you will arrive after 6). Check-out is 11 am.
Travel and Lodging Protection Insurance
If you are interested in purchasing travel or lodging protection insurance, The Red Horse Inn now offers Travel Guard Insurance according to your reservation amount. For any booking here of $1,000 or less, you can protect your travel investment with their Lodging Protection Plan. For any booking here over $1,000, you can protect your travel investment with their All Seasons Travel Plan, also called the "Cancel for Any Reason" policy, which includes a 30-day-out policy for an extremely low rate (only 7% of your total!). Early Check In and Late Check Out
Normal check-in time is between 4 pm and 6 pm. Normal check-out time is at 11 am. You may enjoy an early check-in at 2 pm for an additional fee of $50, and/or stay a little longer and check out at 2 pm for an additional $50.
The additional fees listed here for early check in and late check out are to cover our costs that are incurred to hire the extra staff required to accommodate your request as an extra amenity. It cannot be undone without a 48 hour advance notice.
Early check-ins and/or late check-outs must be arranged at the time of booking and are subject to availability. If available, early check-in and/or late check-out may be added to any room or cottage. Available only if it can be accommodated. Advance notice is required.
Inn Room Pricing
The per-night prices are $205 for the East Bedroom, $185 for the Croft Bedroom, $175 for the Manger Bedroom, $190 for the Dovecote Bedroom, $200 for the Gable Bedroom, and $180 for the Aviary Bedroom. All prices shown are double occupancy, before tax, and are subject to change without prior notice.
The per-night prices are $315 for the Springhouse Cottage; $300 for the Hayloft Cottage; $245.00 for the Huntbox and Carriage Bay Cottages, and $320 for the Grainary Cottage. All prices shown are double occupancy, before tax. NOTE: The Huntbox is only $295 before tax for a family of four.* All prices are subject to change without prior notice.
Extra Beds or Additional Guests
Three of our cottages, the Carriage Bay, Huntbox and Hayloft, have pullout sleeper sofas in the upstairs loft. If a second bed needs to be made to accommodate two singles, an extra $25.00 per day fee is charged. The prices do not include daily housekeeping which is optional at $25.00 per day. However, housekeeping is required by the third day. For each additional guest there is a $25 fee levied per day, per person (limit 4 people per cottage).
Inn Rooms include daily housekeeping in the price, but do not receive the weekly discount of one free night. For the Cottages, the cost of housekeeping is $25 per day. The frequency is up to the guest except for any stays greater than 3 days in length, in which case housekeeping is mandatory.
Specific Disclaimer Regarding Expired Discounts
If specials, promotions and/or discounts are advertised on this website and then are subsequently removed due to expiration, The Red Horse Inn will not honor such discounts on reservations made after such removal.
Guests staying one week in one of our cottages receive one night free. Not valid with other discounts.
You must mention ALL special pricing when reserving your accommodation. No discounts or premiums are available retroactively after booking. Discounts are not valid on holidays (unless otherwise specified). AAA, AARP and active military discounts are available (10% off our standard rates) and may not be combined with any other specials, promotions or discounts.
NOTE: Inn Rooms include daily housekeeping in the price, but do not receive the weekly discount of one free night.
If a family of four (two adults, two children) is traveling together, the Huntbox Cottage may be reserved for only $295.00 per night, before tax.
Please note that the fireplaces will be turned off when the weather is warm. Some seasons may be warmer than others, requiring us to shut the fireplaces off earlier than we would like.
Outdoor Hot Tubs and Indoor Whirlpools
The Springhouse, Hayloft and Grainary cottages have private outdoor hot tubs that may only be used by the guests who rent those particular cottages. They are open year round. During electrical storms, the outdoor hot tubs will be turned off to prevent lighting from damaging the equipment. The indoor whirlpools in our Inn rooms are not affected by this. Do not use bubble bath in the hot tubs or whirlpools baths.
If you have a dietary constraint and/or are allergic to certain foods, please let us know at the time of booking. We will make a reasonable attempt to accommodate your diet.
Gift certificates may be used to hold a reservation and will be used in full as the deposit. There will be no refund or partial refund for gift certificates used while making a reservation. Travel insurance is not available through The Red Horse Inn for reservations made using a gift certificate. Gift certificates are not transferable to another party. They are not redeemable for cash, goods or other services. Certificate holder is responsible for all taxes, gratuities and other fees. Gift certificates must be presented at check-in.
A two-night minimum is required on weekends.
Our fire codes allow only four people in a cottage at one time and two people in the inn rooms. If this rule is broken guests will be asked to leave without a refund.
No smoking is allowed inside any of our buildings. There is a $250 fine for smoking indoors and guests will be asked to leave immediately with no refund.
We maintain a beer and wine license at the Inn.

We are a pet friendly property. In the Stables cottage, dogs and cats are allowed. In the Huntbox cottage, only very small, non-shedding dogs are allowed. A one-time $25.00 cleaning fee is charged per animal, and an additional $50.00 deposit is required.
