The Dovecote Room is a light-filled mountain-view suite overlooking the Terrace and the first rise of the Blue Ridge foothills. Facing east, the space welcomes the morning with soft light filtered through crepe myrtles beyond the windows.
A gabled ceiling adds height and architectural character, while a predominantly white palette with subtle red accents creates a composed, feminine atmosphere. From the private balcony, guests enjoy an elevated perspective above the Terrace and the foothills beyond.
Nearly a mirror to the Gable Room in architecture, The Dovecote offers its own rhythm of light and view — sunrise tones in the morning, and golden sky stretching west in the evening.

We had a wonderful stay at The Red Horse Inn! We thoroughly enjoyed the stunning view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, hiking the grounds, and trying the great selection of wines in the wine bar. Our cabin was cozy and private and we loved the hot tub on our back deck! We'll definitely stay there again. Highly recommend!

This was an optimal setting for our 2-night anniversary getaway. We stayed in the Gable, an upstairs room in the main inn offering beauty and privacy while at the same time being positioned for us to have a balcony spot for Friday night music with Helen Campbell and co-musicians. Hosts were most hospitable.
