Can I Just Stop By for a Glass of Wine?
Not at this time. The Red Horse Inn Wine Bar is open during scheduled, ticketed events only. We are not open for daily walk-in wine service.
Because our property is gated, guests must purchase tickets in advance for Wine on the Terrace, Wine Inside by Candlelight, Alpaca Wine Experiences, or other seasonal wine bar gatherings.

Alpaca Wine Experience with Babydoll Sheep

Kick things off at our cozy wine bar, where you can sip, swirl, and savor your favorite wines while hanging out with the real stars of the show—our alpacas and babydoll sheep! This experience is the perfect mix of fun, relaxation, and a dash of fluffy magic.
You’ll enjoy the laid-back vibes of the wine bar, then get up close and personal with these gentle, fuzzy charmers. It’s a blend of good wine, great company, and unforgettable memories that’ll leave you grinning from ear to ear.

Wine Inside by Candlelight

During the winter season, Wine Inside by Candlelight offers an intimate alternative to our terrace evenings. Guests gather indoors in a warm, softly lit setting to enjoy curated wines and live acoustic music against the backdrop of the Blue Ridge foothills.
Designed for smaller audiences and unhurried conversation, this indoor music series pairs a relaxed mountain atmosphere with a featured live performance and thoughtfully selected wines available by the ounce, glass, or bottle.
Seasonal & Specialty Gatherings
In addition to live music and tasting evenings, The Red Horse Inn hosts a select number of ticketed specialty gatherings throughout the year. Each event is intentionally limited in size and designed to complement the Wine Bar’s relaxed, adult-focused atmosphere in the Blue Ridge foothills.
Alpaca Wine Experience
An outdoor agritourism gathering that pairs curated wines with time in the pasture alongside our resident alpacas. Scenic, playful, and distinctly local.
Trail Runs & Yoga in Nature
Seasonal, ticketed gatherings that invite guests to move while in the foothills before enjoying some wine and conversation. Designed to be welcoming, scenic, and unhurried.
What to Expect
For a top-tier experience and guest safety, our property is gated. Please check the time your event starts before heading to the event so you aren't stuck sitting outside the gates.
Leave all alcohol, beverage containers, and food at home. You will need to pre-order snacks when purchasing your event ticket. There is complimentary water available.
Music will be moved under the arbor or inside in the case of rain.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome! Please use doggie bags to clean up any mess and put them in the dog trash receptacle. Unruly dogs or those that cause an issue will be asked to leave.
Please refrain from smoking.
All events are 21 and up. No exceptions. It's perfect for a date night so please leave the youngsters with your babysitter and enjoy a night out. Babies are included in the list of people under 21.
