A Weekend Self-guided Tour of Wineries and One Great Waterfall

This adventure is perfect for romantic weekend getaways in SC! Today you will visit four wineries. Each will enchant and inspire you with the fulfillment of seeing their creators' dreams come to fruition. If you have time and energy, you will end your day on a beautiful secluded road that skirts the Green River and wind your way up the mountain to a charming village, then end the day visiting a beautiful waterfall. If choosing this adventure, please note that winter hours are reduced to Friday - Sunday.

Guests of The Red Horse Inn will enjoy their adventure during their South Carolina getaways by visiting a historic bridge, then traveling up a mountain road past magnificent old growth forests that canopy the crystal lake waters of the Greenville Reservoir System. Next, guests will stroll the streets of a quaint Victorian mountain village that is known for its antique stores, artistic gift shops and unique restaurants.

For weekend getaways, Inn Guests can also choose to kayak down the cool mountain waters of the Green River or experience the thrill of a lifetime by soaring down the Gorge Zipline Canopy Tour. SC this adventure requires advance reservations, booked directly with Green River Adventures for the kayaking or zipline. They will collect fees for their services. Tell them you have a coupon from us for a discount. End the day by hiking in a botanical sanctuary to a glorious 90-foot waterfall.

Take a deep breath and inhale the fresh country air as you eat your breakfast leisurely in your room or cottage.

Today's adventure will take you through history, over beautiful bridges, by old grist mills, and to a gorgeous waterfall. You’ll wind up your day with a visit to some of the most interesting and unique antique shops in the region. Use our guide book to navigate to the various locales using your own transportation.

Today's journey will take you down Scenic Highway 11 to a mountain peak where you can savor the splendor of fresh mountain air during your romantic getaways in SC.
